A selection of favourite projects I’ve produced

Quizlet - Feed Your Brain

Working with Flying Object, we transformed traditional learning materials into Quizlet’s app for students wanting to learn in digestible “bite-sized” portions.

The creative development centred on figuring out how to slice through textbooks and blend molecules – all using stop motion. Pixilated hands introduced another layer of complexity as the animations needed to be performed relatively quickly.

The shoot took place in our East London studio over five days, on two stages running in parallel. Given this was an international campaign the flashcard artwork was added digitally in post to allow for localisation into different languages.

The Back to School 2022 campaign was such a success that we made another six videos for Back to School 2023. The campaign won Gold for Animation in Advertising at the Creativepool Annual, and Platinum at the Muse Awards.

Procreate Dreams - Apple’s App of the Day

We were commissioned to concept and create a series of short films to promote the new animation app Procreate Dreams on Apple's App of the Day. The only requirements were that they needed to be completely produced in the software - a dream brief!

In one film we opted to use a stock image and created a fantastical dreamscape around a mountain. In another we animated a girl who becomes so absorbed by a street mural that she is literally absorbed by it. We had a lot of fun coming up with playful concepts to highlight the fluidity this software offers.

T2 - Unboxing Assets

We were tasked with 3D modelling 24 distinct product unboxing videos to showcase T2’s latest range of packaging. Outputs live on the T2 website, Amazon store, social media platforms and have been used for targeted advertising. Creatively this was a prescriptive brief, however the end result is a suite of gorgeous assets.

Battle Cats - Black Friday Promotional Campaign

We collaborated with R/GA Tokyo on a whimsical Black Friday series for the popular mobile game: Battle Cats. The films follow a cast of cats that never made it into the game, known as the the “Out Cats”, showing audition tapes that all end tragically due to each character’s unique shortcoming. Players were asked to vote for their favourite, with the winning cat being introduced into the game as a playable character. Art direction was consistent with the game style, using simple graphics and limited movements.

The films reached 4 million views: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aw2nz5iO5e0&t=6s

Pot Pals - Speculative Children’s Show

Follow best buds Sprout and Spike as they -grow- up in a colourful, confusing world.

I wrote, designed and knitted a garden set complete with hand puppet characters. This was an experimental live action puppet show, filled with bright colours and a bit of nonsense. It was great fun to film something in my living room with talented friends.
