In each episode Sprout and Spike are confronted with something in their environment that puzzles them. Using their imaginations, they solve their own questions about what’s going on in the world around them.

The entire garden was hand knit and constructed in my living room. I designed the plants and characters, and knitted Sprout and Spike as hand puppets with replaceable eyes and mouths for different expressions.

My friend Stuart and I voiced all of the characters and on the day of the shoot we used monitors with a live feed to time character movements with the voice over. My friend Nick animated the opening title sequence and credits.

I chose a team of talented friends whose styles compliment my own, resulting in a handful of fun mixed media episodes with elements of everything I love.
